A striking and startling short feature, Alice examines the complicated relationship between two sisters, Alice and Manon. For Alice, Manon’s upcoming wedding brings destructive and long buried emotions to the surface, challenging her peace of mind as well as her relationships with her family and her girlfriend, Elsa. Trapped in a twisted maze of memories and emotions, Alice spirals towards certain crisis. A meditative and beautiful film, Alice is sparse with dialogue, instead telling the tale largely through haunting and lyrical images. Exploring memory and loss, Alice is a provocative exploration of the origins and the dangers of desire.
