Does a weekend camping trip with a Jeep-load of your exes sound like a horror film? Now it is! In this comedic lesbian send-up of the classic ‘B’ slasher film, Susan (Moynan King) plans a birthday retreat for herself and invites along some of her friends (all exes, naturally). With a few shady male (gasp!) characters thrown into the mix, the campers slowly start disappearing. Between all the tent-hopping and making out, the remaining women do get around to noticing the strange absences – but is it too late? Chock-full of hysterical clichés from both genres, Make a Wish pokes fun at over-the-top lesbian archetypes (righteous vegan, flaky wiccan, supposedly straight girl) all the while staying true to the standard horror format: close-ups in the dark, a chilling soundtrack, and the necessary "surprise" ending.
