C.Jay Cox It all starts with the wager. Christian, a handsome party boy whose life is devoted to stomach crunches and casual sex, gets more than he bargained for when he bets his restaurant co-workers that he can bed one of the hunky Mormon boys that have moved in next door. Of the four missionary men, Christian sets his sights on Elder Aaron Davis, a sweet yet sexually confused boy who is pure as the Utah snow. Christian and Aaron slowly become friends as the two find similarities hidden within their many differences. After initial resistance, Aaron surrenders to Christian’s charms, discovering his own homosexuality in the process. When Christian exposes Aaron’s secret sexual desire to his Mormon brothers, he is sent back to Utah and both characters begin a long and painful journey that risks destroying their lives. In his directorial debut, Cox (screenwriter of Sweet Home Alabama) has drawn on his own experiences as a young Mormon missionary to craft a film that explores love and religion with wit, sincerity and sex appeal. - SF
