At a prestigious French school for future heads of state, Bernard, Paul and Louis-Arnault become roommates. These sons of France’s elite have no idea, however, what is in store for them on their personal curriculums. Paul, who is no longer sure that he really wants the life of privilege that is his inheritance, comes to the defence of Mécir, a young Arab worker on campus, and the two fall in love. At the same time, Paul becomes smitten with his seductive roommate, Louis-Arnault, who is dating Émeline. Girlfriend Agnès discovers Paul’s attraction to Louis-Arnault, and challenges him to see which of them can seduce the object of his schoolboy fantasies first. A tumultuous power play ensues, after which a shaken Paul will emerge more mature. Adapted from the play of the same title, this dramatic comedy features superb dialogue and an original, daring story about plunging headfirst into the school of life. - AB
