In May 2007, a collective of Italian filmmakers headed to Beirut to journey into the lives of Lebanese gays and lesbians, both Muslim and Christian. In a country where the notorious Article 534 is still used to harass and suppress LGBT people, the filmmakers found an apartment in the Rouche district where interviewees could talk freely and openly about their lives. The apartment becomes a confessional for them, with the cityscape as a backdrop. Not only are we privy to how they express their sexuality, but also learn their views on the recent Hezbollah-Israeli conflict and whether this volatile political situation hindered or improved the situation for queer people in Lebanon.
